2010 Clutches 21 through 30

Clutch #21 :: Pastel Het Clown x Possible Het Clown Clutch Hatched 7/20/10

Eight eggs from a possible het clown female bred by a pastel het clown male.

Hatched an all female clutch - 0.3 pastel possible het clowns and 0.5 possible het clowns. Still no pastel clowns, but I think my luck will be changing with clutch #23 ;)

Clutch #22 :: Leucistic and Spinner Blast x Mojave Hatched 7/21/10

Five eggs from a mojave female bred by a mojave/lesser leucistic and a spinner blast. Hopefully there will be some cool stuff hatching in about 60 days! I hatched this mojave female on 6/3/08, she laid these eggs before she turned two years old.

Hatched an unbelievable clutch - one double gene animal and four triples! 0.1 mojave spinner, 1.0 pastel jigsaw, 0.1 spinner blast, 0.1 mojave bumblebee, and 0.1 mojave spider hatched.

Clutch #23 :: Pastel Het Clown x Possible Het Clown Clutch Hatched 7/23/10

Seven eggs from a possible het clown female bred by a pastel het clown male.

Finally hit some clowns! 1.1 pastel clowns, 1.0 clown, 1.0 pastel 66% possible het clown, and 2.1 66% possible het clowns hatched. I love these pastel clowns!

  Clutch #24 :: Bumblebee x Normal Clutch Hatched 7/26/10

Four eggs and two slugs from a normal female bred by a bumblebee male.

1.1 spiders and 0.1 granite pastel(?) hatched, one egg went bad. Mom is a CH granite type, looks like she passed on a bit of the granite trait to the female pastel hatchling

Clutch #25 :: Genetic Stripe x Possible Het Stripe Clutch Hatched 7/28/10

Three eggs and two slugs from a possible het stripe female bred by a genetic stripe male.

Two eggs went bad, hatched 1.0 het stripe. I guess you've got to take the bad with the good!

Clutch #26 :: Leucistic and Spinner Blast x Mojave Clutch Hatched 7/29/10

Five eggs from a mojave female bred by leucistic and spinner blast males. This female is a sibling to the female that laid clutch #23 above.

The spinner blast sired this clutch too, and I got a female pastel jigsaw this time! After seeing the male pastel jigsaw in cluch #22 I was really hoping for a female in this clutch. 0.1 pastel jigsaw, 0.1 pastel mojave, 0.1 mojave, 0.1 spider, and 0.1 normal hatched.

Clutch #27 :: Leucistic x Het Russo Clutch Hatched 7/30/10

Three eggs and a slug from a het Russo female bred by a mojave/lesser leucistic male. Let's see some leucistics!

0.2 perfect leucistics hatched! One egg in the clutch went bad. These are very nice leucistic girls, I don't thnk there is any way to tell if they are mojave x Russo or lesser x Russo combos without breeding them out. I should produce a few more in clutch #33, maybe when I look at them all post shed there will be a difference.

Clutch #28 :: Spinner Blast and Bumblebee x Normal Clutch Hatched 7/30/10

Seven eggs from a normal female bred by a bumblebee early and a spinner blast later in the year.

1.0 spinner blast, 2.0 lemon blasts, 0.2 bumblebees, 0.1 spider, and 0.1 normal hatched. Looks like the breeder spinner blast male came through again!

Clutch #29 :: Platty Sib x Mojave Clutch Hatched 7/31/10

Eight eggs from a mojave female bred by a platty sib/hidden gene carrier male. Hopefully there will be a cool new combo in this clutch!

I hit on the combo! The hidden gene lightens up the mojave in a way that reminds me of Ralph's hidden gene x phantom animals. I think they will look really nice after a few sheds and with some size on them. I can't wait to get them breeding with some lessers - platinums, leucistics, and hidden gene carriers all in the same clutch! I figure "mojave daddy" is a good enough name for them to keep in line with Ralph's "platty daddy" and "butter daddy" animals. The last pic below shows the mojave daddy on the left and a regular mojave on the right. Clutch total is 2.1 mojave daddies and 3.1 50% possible hidden gene carriers. There was one more normal looking animal in the clutch that crawled out of the egg but died soon after.

Clutch #30 :: Pastel Het Clown x Possible Het Clown Clutch Hatched 8/6/10

Six eggs from a possible het clown bred by a pastel het clown male.

1.2 pastel possible het clowns and 2.1 possible het clowns hatched. No more chances at clowns for me this year, I guess I'll have to be happy with the 1.1 pastel clowns from clutch 23 :)
